A wonderful 19th-century antique majolica pitcher, stamped by the Belgian firm of Nimy-lès-Mons, Mouzin Lecat, circa 1851-1878. Magnificent polychrome relief decoration composed of floral rosettes, beaded friezes, and stylized floral cartouches. Vibrant polychromy in cobalt blue, sea green, ochre yellow, and floral pink. Raspberry pink glazed interior. Bubble shape resting on a small circular foot. Narrow neck and trilobed spout. Thick, ribbed handle. Ideal for a collector of antique majolica, either as a decorative piece, a small and very original vase with character, or for practical use. It is in very good condition.
