This is an authentic nineteenth-century wooden butter churn, a historical object that embodies the craftsmanship of a bygone era. The design combines a robust wooden tub with an ingenious cast-iron rotating mechanism, making it a striking piece of agricultural heritage. The churn is made of solid wood, held together by sturdy metal bands that give the construction stability.
