Product description
This is an antique Windsor armchair, manufactured in the 18th century from solid wood. The design is a classic example of the Windsor style, characterized by its high spindle back and curved armrests that create an enveloping silhouette. The chair is entirely made of wood, with a seat formed from a single piece for comfort. The construction includes turned legs and a backrest with multiple spindles firmly anchored in the seat and top rail. The dimensions are 61 cm wide, 45 cm deep and 90 cm high, with a seat height of 33 cm. The finish shows a combination of black and the natural brown color of the underlying wood. A spindle is loose, and they are no longer very sturdy. The chair is in good, used condition commensurate with its considerable age. The surface has developed a lived-in patina, where the original dark finish has worn off and the rich wood grain has become visible. This gives the piece an authentic and characterful appearance. With its rustic and historical appeal, this armchair is a characteristic object that fits well in a rural, classic or eclectic interior.
