This antique cabinet is a significant example of Baroque craftsmanship, dated around 1700. The piece of furniture comes from Waldegg Castle in Feldbrunnen and was owned by the von Sury family, which gives it a remarkable historical provenance. Its imposing appearance and elaborate details are characteristic of the opulent aesthetic of this era.
Crafted from solid hardwood, possibly walnut or cherry, the cabinet is distinguished by its robust construction and rich ornamentation. The front is flanked by two turned columns, which give the furniture a strong architectural presence. The doors and the cornice are adorned with elaborate carvings, including mascarons and classical motifs.
