Product description
This is an antique pair of binoculars from the French manufacturer Iris de Paris, made of metal and covered with leather. The object stands out for its historical appearance and the detailed engravings that refer to its origin and a specific theme.
The binoculars are constructed with a black lacquered metal casing and the grips are covered with dark brown, textured leather. Two markings are visible on the metalwork: the factory brand "MARQUE IRIS DE PARIS QUALITE GARANTIE" and an engraving with the text "REGATES" above an image of a rowing competition. These details indicate French production and a possible connection to sporting events from that period.
The item shows a clear and authentic patina consistent with its age and use. The wear on the leather and lacquer contributes to the character of the object and tells the story of its past. The overall condition is representative of a functional antique object that has been used over the years.
As a Decorative Object, these binoculars are a refined addition to a classic or industrial interior. They fit perfectly on a desk, in a bookcase, or as part of a collection of curiosities, where they add an element of historical depth and elegance.
