Product description
This is an authentic, antique school desk, made of solid wood. The piece exudes an atmosphere of nostalgia and evokes memories of bygone school days, giving it a unique character.
The construction combines a desk and a bench in one unit, a typical design for school furniture from that period. The furniture is finished in a deep, dark brown color that accentuates the rich grain of the wood. The robust design and solid craftsmanship attest to traditional workmanship.
The overall condition is good, with a lived-in character consistent with the age of the furniture. Over the years, the wood has developed a beautiful patina, showing traces of intensive use and telling the story of decades of history.
It was therefore a conscious choice to preserve the authentic worktop in its original state. The visible wood grains, natural discolorations, and historical signs of use give the bench a rustic look that you won't find in modern furniture.
The top is affected by woodworm, but is still sturdy. The school desk has been preventively/curatively treated against woodworm and re-oiled.
This school desk is a charming addition to various interiors. It can serve as a decorative object in a hallway, a compact desk in a study, or as a playful element in a vintage-themed children's room.
Seat height 36 cm.
