Product description
For lovers of unique antiques and characteristic gentlemen's accessories: a beautiful, all-metal antique snuff or tobacco box from the Arts & Crafts / Art Nouveau period (c. 1890–1920).
This box is entirely made of heavy brass/copper and has acquired a beautiful, deep ocher yellow and brown age patina over the decades. The lid features a beautifully detailed, mounted relief medallion with the profile of a classic hunting dog (Pointer/Setter). A very special and unique detail: a subtle, circular mark (maker's stamp) is embossed on the dog's ear (see last photo).
The inside shows the authentic, manual construction with split pins and sturdy riveting at the front. The original metal spring hinge still works excellently and closes the box securely.
Today, it is perfect for use as a unique decorative piece, a pill box, or a charming storage box for vintage jewelry.
The object is in fantastic, unpolished condition. The original patina has been left completely intact, which enhances its historical value and appearance.

A beautiful character piece for the interior or as an addition to an antique collection!
