This is an antique washbasin cabinet, made of solid wood with a marble top and a matching mirror.
The furniture exudes the atmosphere of the early 20th century and combines functionality with classic elegance.
The set, consisting of the base cabinet and the detachable mirror, forms a characterful ensemble that adds an authentic historical accent to an interior.
The construction consists of a wooden base finished in a soft, grey-green or sage-green color. The top is made of white marble with subtle grey veining and has a raised edge at the back. The cabinet offers ample storage space with two drawers and two doors and a shelf and is equipped with classic brass fittings that have developed a warm patina. The large, rectangular mirror is set in a wooden frame in the same color and with a profiled cornice.
The furniture is in good, used condition commensurate with its age. The paint shows a lived-in character and the original mirror glass has the characteristic weathering that contributes to the charm of the piece. The overall construction is solid and the furniture is immediately ready for use.
Although originally designed as a washbasin, this piece of furniture is versatile. It functions excellently as a unique sidetable in a hallway, a chest of drawers in a bedroom, or as an elegant dresser in a living or dining room. It fits well within a classic, rural, or eclectic interior.
