Product description
This is a collection of six antique glass decanters, dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. The set is remarkable for its distinctive 'kluk-kluk' or 'kuttrolf' design, which produces a gurgling sound when pouring and testifies to a long tradition in European glassware.
The collection includes decanters in various sizes and designs, made from clear, green, and amber-colored glass. Each decanter has its own unique decoration, ranging from fine etching and hand-painted motifs to a gold-colored label. The characteristic shape with four pinched chambers is a testament to the glassblower's craftsmanship. All decanters come with matching glass stoppers.
The overall condition of the set is good, in accordance with the considerable age of the objects. The decanters show an authentic patina, and signs of use contribute to the historical character of each individual piece. The collection forms a cohesive whole, despite the individual differences.
These decorative decanters are a refined addition to a classic interior, perfect for display on a bar cabinet, dresser, or in a display case. They fit excellently within styles such as Classic and Baroque, but can also serve as a unique accent in a more eclectic environment.
Please note. The filled decanter with stopper is difficult to separate. Nevertheless, this decanter is the oldest of the set and dates from the 18th century.
