Product description
This antique hand-colored fashion print from the 19th century originates from the renowned magazine Le Journal des Dames et des Demoiselles. The work displays a detailed depiction of children's fashion from that period, making it a valuable historical document for enthusiasts of textile and costume history. The print is executed on paper and features refined hand-colored details in blue, green, and gold tones. The work is professionally framed in a wooden frame with a mat, which enhances its classic appearance. The typography below the image mentions the provenance and the specific models of Maison de St. Augustin in Paris. The piece is in good condition commensurate with its age. The paper displays a natural patina that contributes to the authentic character of this 19th-century artwork. The wooden frame is intact and features a hanging system on the back. This classic artwork is perfectly suited to a traditional or eclectic interior. It makes a refined addition to a gallery wall in a study, hallway, or living room, where it adds a subtle historical accent.
