Product description
This antique hand-colored fashion print from 1835 comes from the Italian magazine Corriere delle Dame. The work depicts the 'Moda Di Parigi', a detailed representation of Parisian men's fashion from that period, making it an interesting piece for enthusiasts of historical clothing and nineteenth-century illustrations.
The print is executed on paper and features hand-colored details, a technique characteristic of fashion illustrations from this era. The work is framed in a wooden frame with a mat in a soft green shade, finished with a subtle gold trim. The colors of the clothing, including green and blue, contrast beautifully with the light background.
The piece is in a condition befitting its age, while retaining its historical character. The frame and mat contribute to the authentic appearance of the work.
This fashion print looks its best in a classic or eclectic interior. It is a refined addition to a study, hallway, or as part of a larger collection of historical prints on a gallery wall.
Condition:
The print itself is well preserved considering its age, with some signs of age and a few light creases/folds. Moisture stains are visible at the bottom of the outer passe-partout. These are not on the print itself. Please see the photos for details.
