This ceramic baking dish with lid has a rustic appearance. The dish is executed in a yellowish-brown hue with small handles on the sides and a decorative knob on the lid. Slight discoloration and minor imperfections are visible on the bottom rim.
Beautiful antique French oval terracotta dish with its original matching lid, dating from approx. 1900-1930. Finished in a warm honey-yellow glaze with subtle green tones around the rim, this rustic cookware has developed a beautiful patina through decades of use.
Originally intended for slow-cooked dishes, stews, confit, and oven dishes, the dish now also serves as an attractive decorative piece in a country, farmhouse, or French provincial interior.
