This is an authentic French Oeil-de-Boeuf wall clock, made by the clockmaker Michel Michaud in Limoges. The piece has a distinctive wavy shape and a black, lacquered wooden case that immediately draws attention. The clock is richly decorated with mother-of-pearl and wood inlay around the enameled dial. The dial itself features classic Roman numerals and elegant, black hands, protected by a glass door. The maker's name, 'Michel Michaud à Limoges', is clearly visible and testifies to its French origin. Despite its age, the clock has retained its characteristic charm.
