Private sellerProduct description
A particularly beautiful and imposing English library and display cabinet in mahogany, presumably dating from circa 1890.
The cabinet comes from Antwerp, where I personally picked it up. According to the previous owner, it is a family heirloom that has remained within the family for many years.
The cabinet is characterized by its beautiful warm mahogany color, the particularly finely flamed wood veneer, and the four tall glass doors with refined geometric glazing bars. The richly detailed cornice with dentil molding, classic panel doors, and elegant fittings give the furniture a particularly stately appearance.
The central section projects slightly forward, characteristic of the classic English breakfront style.
Behind the glass doors are spacious shelves, ideal for books, crockery, or collectibles. The four closed lower cabinets offer plenty of extra storage space.
