This is an antique English armchair, also known as a 'reclining chair', dating from the period 1830-1840. The design is characterized by a classic silhouette with an adjustable backrest, making it a functional and historically interesting piece of furniture. The chair is crafted from wood and upholstered in black faux leather, finished with decorative nails along the edges. The armrests have an elegant, curved shape and the front legs are turned, resting on the original casters. A brass mechanism on the side allows the backrest to be adjusted. The armchair is in good condition, commensurate with its age and use. The wood displays a warm patina and the leather is intact, contributing to the chair's authentic character. This piece of furniture fits perfectly into a classic or eclectic interior. It offers a comfortable seat in a study, library, or living room, where it adds a touch of historical charm.
