This object is a traditional holy water font, made of ceramic. At least 200 years old from a French castle. The piece is distinguished by its rich, hand-painted decoration and deep blue glaze, which gives it an authentic and decorative appearance. The holy water font is made of glazed earthenware with a cobalt blue base. The front is decorated with floral motifs and stylized birds, executed in white and ochre yellow tones. The design is intended for wall mounting, as can be seen from the openings on the back. Has corner damage. (see photo 5) The item is in good, used condition, consistent with its age and previous use. The original finish and characteristic patina have been preserved, which contributes to the historical charm of the piece. As a unique wall object, this holy water font can add a characteristic accent to an interior with classic or rustic elements. It can serve both its original function and be used purely decoratively.
