About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is an antique bagatelle, a classic mechanical marble game made of wood, metal, and paper. The object exudes the atmosphere of the mid-20th century, characterized by its charming and colorful illustrations.
The game consists of a wooden frame with a curved top, in which a playing field of lithographed paper is placed. The field is decorated with an idyllic forest theme, complete with various animals that serve as targets with different point values. A spring mechanism on the side is used to launch the metal marbles into the game, after which they find their way down via metal pins and obstacles. This item comes with its original cardboard box, which is also richly illustrated in a matching style.
The game is in good, original condition, consistent with its age and use. The materials show an authentic patina that contributes to its vintage character. The presence of the original packaging, although it shows signs of wear, is a special detail that increases its collector's value.
As a Decorative Object, this vintage marble game is a nostalgic addition to an eclectic or retro interior. It can be displayed on a dresser, in a bookcase, or hung on the wall as a unique piece of toy history.
