About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This antique Desk is a stately piece of furniture, crafted from rich mahogany wood. The design is characterized by a classic silhouette and an inlaid green leather top, exuding timeless elegance.
The Desk is designed as a 'pedestal desk', resting on two pedestals that contain both storage drawers and a cabinet space. The tabletop is divided into three panels of olive green leather, each adorned with a gold-colored, decorative border. The warm, reddish-brown mahogany wood forms a beautiful contrast with the green leather, while the brass fittings complete the classic look. The construction offers a significant amount of functional storage space for an organized workspace.
The overall condition of the Desk is good, in accordance with its age and use. The wood and leather show an authentic patina that contributes to the character and history of the furniture. The construction is solid and all parts, such as drawers and doors, are functional.
This Desk forms an impressive centerpiece in a classically furnished office, study, or library. It effortlessly combines with both antique and more eclectic interior styles and adds a sense of history and refinement to the space.
