For sale, a splendid and rare ceremonial wedding belt (Gelin Kemeri) from the late Ottoman period (19th century), entirely made of silver.
The item is in excellent historical preservation conditions, complete and with a magnificent original patina from time.
Type: Rigid articulated belt with hinged plates (geometric panels engraved with a burin).
Central buckle: Spectacular artistic clasp shaped like a bow, finely decorated.
Hallmarking and Authenticity: Each individual link/bakla of the belt bears the impressed state hallmarks of the era, including the Tuğra (the official imperial seal of the Sultan) and the silver control mark (Sah).
The repeated presence of the monogram on each module attests to the absolute conformity and high value of the imperial manufacture of the era.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition.
Hinges and joints perfectly intact and functional.
No recent soldering or invasive restoration.
