Product description
Original 1959 exhibition poster from the renowned Kestner Gesellschaft in Hannover, one of Germany’s important centres for modern and contemporary art. The poster reflects the distinctive visual language of postwar European exhibition design. The artist or designer is not identified, making this an intriguing example of anonymous German graphic design from the late 1950s. Never framed, meticulously stored in archival conditions. Minor signs of age consistent with its vintage nature. The poster is sold unframed. Any frame shown in the photo is for display purposes only and is not included. Securely packaged and shipped in a sturdy cardboard tube. A collectible piece for lovers of Kestner Gesellschaft, German art history, modern art, vintage exhibition posters, European graphic design, and 1950s design.
