A classic mechanical mantel clock (buffet clock) from the renowned German brand AnkerUhr, manufactured in the 1950s or 1960s.
This stylish model features a traditional, smooth case (the so-called Napoleon hat style), crafted from solid wood finished with a refined, two-tone veneer with visible grain. The focal point is a round dial with a brass frame and convex glass, adorned with gold Roman numerals and distinctive, decorative hands. The wooden dial features the brand's brass logo with an anchor symbol.
A collectible item: The metal inscription under the anchor is missing the first two letters "A" and "N" from the factory, leaving the dial with the unique inscription "KERUHR."
The clock has a mechanism with an hour and half-hour striking system (three winding holes on the dial – for the movement, the hour striking, and the melody). It will make an elegant addition to a fireplace, chest of drawers, or bookcase in vintage, mid-century modern, or retro interiors.
