Private sellerProduct description
Iconic and highly sought-after black and white screen print of Marilyn Monroe, based on Andy Warhol's iconic 1962 portrait. Published by Sunday B. Morning.
This is the rarer and early 1970s edition, recognizable by the authentic black ink stamps on the reverse ('Fill in your own signature' and 'Published by Sunday B. Morning').
The early editions with the black stamp are of superior quality compared to the later blue reprints.
The print is in beautiful, fresh condition. The black and white contrasts are wonderfully preserved. The paper is intentionally not glued into the frame to preserve its originality. As a result, the paper shows a slight, natural wave (only visible under certain lighting conditions).
The screen print is framed in a sleek, silver frame. The frame has slight signs of wear on the frame and the acrylic glass, but still looks very neat.
I have owned this myself for over 17 years and purchased it from a private collection.
