This is an authorized reproduction of the work by American artist Andrew Wyeth, one of the most recognized paintings in American art. The work, titled "Christina's World", is an iconic example of realism and is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
This print is a reproduction of the original tempera on gesso panel from 1948. The print itself was copyrighted in 1975 by MoMA and is presented in a dark brown wooden frame with a white passe-partout. The scene depicts a woman in a light pink dress lying in a field, looking up at a distant farmhouse, rendered in a palette of muted, earthy tones of green and brown.
The artwork is generally in good condition consistent with its age. The print is framed behind glass, which has contributed to the preservation of the image over the years. The colors retain the understated and evocative atmosphere of the original masterpiece.
As an important piece of American art history, this framed print is a meaningful addition to a classic, rustic, or eclectic interior. The work pairs well with natural materials and adds a narrative element to a living room, study, or hallway.
