Private sellerProduct description
This is an authorized reproduction of the iconic painting 'Christina's World' by American artist Andrew Wyeth. The original work from 1948 is one of the most recognizable images in twentieth-century American art, depicting a woman looking towards a farmhouse in the distance across a vast field. This is the only reproduction with a signature from the master himself. This print was issued with the approval of the artist and The Museum of Modern Art, New York, as stated on the label on the back. The work was professionally framed by Louis Suermondt in 2007. The image displays the characteristic palette of muted green, brown, and gray tones typical of Wyeth's realistic style. The piece is in good condition, consistent with its age and careful preservation. The frame provides a sturdy and fitting enclosure for the print, making it ready to hang immediately. This work fits perfectly into a classic or modern interior and adds a touch of American art history to any space. It is an understated yet powerful image that comes into its own in both a living room and a study.
