Mid-century ceramic dish by Swiss ceramic artist André Freymond, featuring a stylised bird motif executed in the sgraffito technique. The deep red glaze and organic free-form shape are characteristic of European studio art pottery from the 1950s–1960s.
The decoration is incised into the glaze, creating a strong contrast with the darker ceramic body. The asymmetrical form gives the piece a sculptural appearance, making it suitable as a decorative dish, display object or wall piece.
