Product description
This is an authentic coffee table in the style of the Amsterdam School, dating from the period 1910-1920. The piece exudes the atmosphere of early 20th-century Dutch design, with its expressive forms and artisanal appearance. The table is a beautiful example of the Art Deco movement as it took shape in the Netherlands. This table also fits perfectly into a modernist interior!
The table is entirely crafted from solid oak wood with a warm, brown finish that accentuates the rich grain of the wood. Characteristic features include the sculptural, curved legs and the round lower shelf, which give the table a dynamic yet stable base. A special detail is the beaded edge along the tabletop, a typical decorative element of the Amsterdam School. The construction is robust and testifies to craftsmanship.
With more than a century of history, this table has developed a lived-in character and a beautiful patina. The overall condition is good, appropriate for its age. It is a solid and functional piece of furniture ready for a new chapter. This coffee table feels at home in a classic, eclectic, or Art Deco interior and forms a characterful centerpiece in the seating area.
