Product description
This is an authentic ceiling light in the style of the Amsterdam School, an influential movement in Dutch architecture and design from the early twentieth century. The piece is characterized by its expressive and geometric design language, which is immediately recognizable in its angular, lantern-like design.
The lamp is made from a brass frame with a dark patina, which forms a beautiful contrast with the inlaid panels of white opal glass. The inside of the fixture has a gold-colored finish that reflects the light and provides a warm, diffused glow. The construction is robust and shows the craftsmanship typical of the period, with carefully soldered connections and a solid ceiling mount.
The overall condition of the lamp is good, in accordance with its age. The patina on the brass has developed naturally over the years and contributes to the authentic character of the object. The original wiring is present, which emphasizes the lamp's historicity.
This ceiling light is an atmospheric addition to a hallway, study, or living room. The design fits perfectly within a classic, Art Deco, or eclectic interior, where it can serve as a functional and historical accent.
