This set of bookends is a characteristic example of the Amsterdam School style, an influential Dutch design movement from the early twentieth century. The design stands out due to the expressive, organic forms and the detailed woodcarving elements typical of this architectural and decorative movement.
Crafted from solid oak, the bookends display a rich, warm brown hue with a distinct wood grain.
