Product description
This is a characteristic side table, crafted in the style of the Amsterdam School. The furniture piece is an expressive example of the Dutch Art Deco period, characterized by its sculptural forms and artisanal approach to material.
The table is entirely made of dark-stained oak, which accentuates the rich grain structure. The design consists of a round tabletop and a lower, also round, shelf. The construction is supported by four striking, parabolically curved legs that meet at the base and end in characteristic ball feet. This design is typical of the aesthetic of the Amsterdam School, which contrasted with the clean lines of modernism.
The furniture is in good, original condition, consistent with its age and use. The patina that has formed over the years contributes to the authentic character of the table. The construction is solid and stable.
This side table is a versatile object that fits well next to an armchair or sofa in a living room, or as a plant table in a hallway. It is a stylish addition to an interior with classic, Art Deco, or eclectic influences.
