Prestigious and very spectacular large collector's medal
in patinated gilded metal, published in the heart
of the 1980s by the famous luxury publishing house
Rombaldi.
This large-format numismatic piece was created
specifically to celebrate the masterful work of
Jacques Martin, the father of the famous historical comic
"Alix". This prestigious medallion was
offered as a high-end loyalty gift
to subscribers of the collection of
luxury integral volumes of the saga. The obverse
displays a magnificent chiseled relief of Alix riding
a galloping steed, brandishing his sword against
a background of a Roman galley and ancient temples.
The sandblasted reverse features the official
authenticity frame stamped into the mass: "Offert par
ROMBALDI ÉDITEUR" (Offered by ROMBALDI PUBLISHER). A rare art and comic-related object,
ideal as a paperweight for a cabinet of curiosities.
