This Murano glass bottle was created by master glassmaker Alfredo Barbini in the late 1980s. The piece stands out for its slender silhouette and the technical mastery required for its execution, representing an excellent example of minimalist Italian design from the second half of the 20th century.
The piece was created using the complex incalmo technique, which involves fusing two pieces of differently colored glass while still hot, achieving a clean and precise joint. The chromatic composition features a cylindrical base in opalescent yellow ochre glass, topped by a transparent upper section in dark olive green glass. The solid and domed lower body gently tapers into an exceptionally long and slender neck. The "Barbini Murano" signature is engraved at the base.
The overall condition is excellent, with no visible structural or aesthetic defects. The glass retains its original luster, and the joint between the two colors remains perfectly defined, a testament to the quality of the craftsmanship.
