Rare executive/boardroom sideboard
Designed by Alfred Hendrickx (1931–2019), one of the most famous Belgian modernists
C. 1950 – Mechelen (Antwerp Province – Belgium)
Made for Belform, the post-war name of the VanFleteren family business
Construction: Rests on a brushed metal frame – elegant and airy
Layout: Three drawers on the left and a drinks cabinet with a flap on the right
Materials:
o Top panel; inlaid white ceramic plate
o Drinks cabinet flap in bubinga wood (Central West Africa)
o Drawers made of sycamore maple
o Interior finished with beech wood
o Sides ebonized – deep, warm black tone
In very good condition; Drawers, hinges / flap magnets work perfectly
