Private sellerProduct description
This object is a teapot from the « Fruit Basket » collection, designed by the Japanese architect duo SANAA for the Italian manufacturer Alessi. The piece stands out for its organic silhouette and its mirror-polished stainless steel finish, which fluidly reflects its surroundings.
Made in Italy, this teapot is crafted from 18/10 stainless steel, a material known for its durability and quality. The design, dating from 2007, is the work of Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa, Pritzker Prize laureates, known for their ethereal and minimalist architectural approach. The lid knob is made of thermoplastic resin, adding a subtle detail to the reflective metallic form.
The general condition of the teapot is good, preserving the integrity of its sculptural design. The mirror-polished surface is well preserved, although signs of use are present, particularly on the base; a small transparent plastic protector is provided with it, and although cracked, it fulfills its function very well.
As an object that is both functional and decorative, this Alessi teapot fits perfectly into a contemporary or minimalist interior. It can be used for serving or displayed as a sculpture on a coffee table, console, or shelf, adding a touch of iconic design to the space.
