About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This ashtray is an iconic design by Marianne Brandt for Alessi, a perfect example of the Bauhaus style. The object combines functionality with a sleek, geometric aesthetic characteristic of Brandt's design language.
Crafted from high-quality stainless steel (Inox 18/10), this ashtray showcases the precision and craftsmanship of the Italian manufacturer Alessi. The silver-colored finish and the two-part construction, consisting of a base and a removable lid, emphasize the thoughtful design. The underside features the original Alessi and Bauhaus markings, confirming the piece's authenticity.
The ashtray is in good condition commensurate with its age. Never used as an ashtray, only as a design accessory. Production date between 1994 and 1997.
It is a subtle yet striking accessory for a coffee table or desk, ideal for design history enthusiasts.
