Product description
This special Alba floor lamp, model HG 4510, was designed in 1973 by Sergio Brazzoli and Ermanno Lampa for Guzzini. The name Alba means “sunrise” in Italian. This piece is an early version from 1973, the year the design was introduced, and still bears the original Guzzini logo. From 1974, the brand name was changed to iGuzzini. A distinctly futuristic design from the 70s and today a rare collector's item. The sculptural housing is made of white cast plastic and rests on a heavy black cast iron base. Centrally located is the characteristic large, round black dimmer. In addition, the lamp has a foot switch in the cord. The electrical wiring was checked by an electrician and the dimmer's electronics were renewed. The lamp is in very good vintage condition, without cracks or breaks in the plastic. Dimensions: 163 × 46 × 61 cm (H × W × D) Socket: E27 Marking: Guzzini – Made in Italy – Model 4510 The model is also documented in an original Guzzini catalog/folder (see photos). A rare and very decorative Italian design lamp from the 70s, interesting for both collectors and lovers of vintage design.
