Beautiful Alabaster Bas-Relief with Cherubs – Professionally Framed (Korsman)
Description:
Offered: A magnificent, three-dimensional bas-relief of playing putti (little angels), crafted from high-quality alabaster powder and resin. This classical sculpture is executed in a refined Baroque/Renaissance style, featuring beautiful interplay of light and shadow due to the high relief.
What makes this object truly unique is its high-quality and valuable presentation. The plaque was professionally and expertly conserved and framed on March 12, 2022, by the renowned art dealer Korsman Kunstlijsten from Oegstgeest (original order label present on the back).
A deep, matte black lacquered display frame from the top brand Larson-Juhl was chosen, finished with a refined gold-colored inner rim (center edge). This creates a beautiful modern-classic contrast, allowing the artwork to come into its own in both modern and classic interiors. Casting stamp / Factory mark: The reverse side also features an authentic factory stamp (blind stamp) in the casting plate. This is the authentic mark of the manufacturer or the original studio (such as G. Ruggeri or Biggs & Sons), confirming the authenticity of the casting.
