Beautiful and elegant Danish coffee table by Aksel Kjersgaard / Odder Møbler, dating from the 1960s. The table is crafted from warm teak and features a particularly beautifully designed top with a large inlaid smoked glass panel. The contrast between the dark glass and the warm teak tones gives the table a luxurious and timeless appearance. The finish is particularly stunning: the slender legs flow almost seamlessly into the frame and have subtly rounded joints. The tabletop appears to float slightly above the base and is finished all around with a beautifully rounded wooden edge. Typical of the high-quality Danish furniture craftsmanship of this period. Aksel Kjersgaard was a Danish furniture maker and manufacturer who became best known for his refined Mid-Century furniture. His factory also collaborated with important Danish designers, including Kai Kristiansen.
