Akke Sins formal name is Anna Catharina Sins. The Dutch artist was born in 1928 and worked in Breda and Maastricht. Sins studied at de Akademie ‘St. Joost’ in Breda and de Jan van Eyck-akademie in Maastricht. Sins created a body of work in the mid 20th century beloved by collectors and her peers in the art world. The artist focused on graphic arts with etchings, woodcuts and copper engravings as her common modalities. This image is a beautiful expression of the artist’s well recognized style.
