This balanced design from 1987 has been reissued in different heights and diameters and enriched with new finishes. This new series of the Gong Side Table underlines the value of the original model without losing sight of its essence. The Gong Side Table is praised for its simplicity and use of materials. For example, the top is made of a metal plate and the stand is made of a hexagonal metal rod. These shapes and materials emphasize the industrial aspect because they are related to shapes from the industry. By connecting these shapes—using small coils—the Gong Side Table creates its powerful yet sleek appearance. The finish is gunmetal. Gunmetal consists of multiple, hand-applied layers, creating an almost matte black finish. All tables are hand-finished, making each Gong Side Table unique.
