Product description
A striking abstract Constructivist sculpture from the Netherlands, dating from the 1960s and signed CH. The work is composed of numerous individually cut and welded iron elements, arranged into a dynamic architectural composition of curves, angles and repeating forms. The open construction creates a fascinating interplay between solid form and negative space, giving the sculpture a different appearance from every viewing angle. The naturally aged iron surface has developed a rich patina that beautifully emphasizes its raw, handcrafted character. A highly decorative and expressive example of Dutch post-war metal sculpture. Condition Very good condition, with an attractive natural patina developed over time and signs of wear consistent with age. Details Artist: Unknown, signed CH Origin: Netherlands Period: 1960s Material: Iron Technique: Cut and welded iron Style: Abstract / Constructivist / Modernist Dimensions H 51 x W 25 x D 22 cm
