Product description
A beautifully sculpted abstract bronze sculpture of a reclining female figure by Dutch artist Francine Govers, dating from the 1990s. This elegant work combines flowing organic curves with a powerful sense of movement, creating a harmonious balance between figurative expression and modernist abstraction. The sculpture depicts a reclining woman, with her body reduced to a series of beautifully rounded volumes, sweeping lines and open spaces. The softly modeled surfaces contrast with sharply defined edges, giving the composition a remarkable sense of depth and sculptural tension. The rich, dark bronze patina enhances the elegant contours and subtle reflections of light, emphasizing the sculpture's refined craftsmanship and timeless character. Its carefully balanced proportions and fluid silhouette make the work particularly appealing from different viewing angles. A sophisticated and highly decorative bronze sculpture, equally suited to a contemporary interior or a collection of modern figurative art. About the Artist Francine Govers is a Dutch sculptor whose work explores the relationship between the human figure and abstract form. Her bronze sculptures are characterized by flowing organic curves, simplified silhouettes and a refined sense of balance and movement. Rather than focusing on anatomical detail, Govers captures the essence of the human body through sculptural volume, rhythm and expressive contours. Her work reflects the tradition of European modernist sculpture, combining figurative sensitivity with a timeless abstract aesthetic. Condition Excellent condition.
