This is a classic painting attributed to the British artist Abraham Cooper (1787-1868), titled 'Sporting Days'. The work depicts a detailed hunting scene featuring figures, horses, and hunting dogs in a vast landscape, characteristic of 19th-century British animal and sport art.
The artwork is framed in a gold-colored wooden frame with decorative borders. The overall dimensions are approximately 40 cm in width and 30 cm in height. On the back is a label from The McEwan Gallery in Scotland, which contributes to the provenance and history of the piece.
The painting is in good condition commensurate with its age, retaining its original atmosphere and character. The frame shows some signs of age that enhance its authentic appearance.
This work is a wonderful addition for lovers of classic hunting scenes and 19th-century British art. It fits perfectly in a traditional interior, a study, or a country living setting.
