The mix of classic and modern elements combined with the use of high-quality materials such as (stained) walnut, birch (interior), brass/bronze handles and adjustable legs makes this sideboard a masterpiece that fits into any modern vintage interior.
It was designed by Abraham Patijn, in the early 1950s for the filma Zijstra (Joure). It is beautifully executed with art deco elements and a high gloss finish. The drawers are curved on the inside which is typical of Patijn/Zijstra.
The wood has a beautiful grain with a lively appearance.
The striking decorative lines, the brass feet, the glossy finish, all details so characteristic of the Dutch Art Deco period with iconic architects like Berlage and Julius Luthmann.

It is a good vintage cabinet. All the orignal parts are still there. Everything works. Hey felt in the drawer is gone in one spot, there are some dents in the edges and there is a scratch on the left side of the top. But not broken and not very deep.
