A beautiful pair of Guanmaoyi chairs from around 1900. Also known as the Officials' Hat Chair due to the curved headrail—also called the Yokrug—which takes the form of a brimmed hat worn by Chinese officials.
This is one of the earliest chair designs, dating back to the 10th century, originally intended for royal households; the elite followed later, and they remained very popular for centuries thereafter.
The chairs are handmade from the Qing Dynasty, perfect for antique furniture enthusiasts. These chairs exude timeless elegance with their refined woodcarving, and the authentic patina gives them a unique historical charm.
