Rare Drafting Chair, Model EC125 by Charles & Ray Eames, for Herman Miller, USA, 1975.
This architect's stool is unique in its use and style. The shell is made of fiberglass, upholstered in orange leatherette and pivoting on an axis. The circular footrest is in chrome steel, with the cruciform base in aluminum.
Its condition is very good, with a few traces of wear due to its function and age.
Charles Eames was an American designer, architect and filmmaker, who worked mainly with his wife Ray Eames at the Eames Office, creating iconic furniture of the 20th century as he moved design towards mass production and technical innovation.
