About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
A rare and complete set of eight dining chairs, designed by the iconic duo Friso Kramer and Wim Rietveld. Dated from 1969, these chairs represent an important chapter in Dutch design history and combine functionality with a timeless, industrial aesthetic. The chairs are crafted with a seat and backrest of smoked oak, creating a warm and natural appearance. The frame is made of sturdy metal in a light grey shade, forming a beautiful contrast with the wood. The construction demonstrates Kramer and Rietveld's characteristic minimalist and robust approach, where every detail serves a functional purpose. The production date, November 14, 1969, is clearly stamped on the underside of the seat. The set is in good condition, commensurate with age and use. The wood has developed an authentic patina that contributes to the character of the chairs. Structural integrity has been fully preserved, making them ready for daily use. This set of eight chairs is an excellent choice for a spacious dining area or a creative workspace. They fit seamlessly into both industrial and modern interiors and form a strong foundation around a large wooden or metal dining table.
