About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This set includes eight chairs designed by the American design duo Charles and Ray Eames, and produced by the Swiss manufacturer Vitra. It is the iconic Eames Plastic Side Chair DSR (Dining Height Side Chair Rod Base) model, recognizable by its chrome-plated steel wire base nicknamed "Eiffel Tower".
Each chair consists of an ergonomic polypropylene seat shell, a material that is both durable and flexible. The color, a subtle aqua green, adds a soft and contemporary touch of color. The DSR base, with its complex and graphic chrome-plated steel structure, offers robust stability while maintaining great visual lightness. Manufactured in Germany, these chairs date from 2013, as indicated by the manufacturer's label.
The overall condition of this set is good, showing careful use while presenting the expected character of lived-in pieces. The original finish of the shells and the shine of the chrome are well preserved, reflecting the manufacturing quality associated with Vitra and Eames design.
Thanks to their timeless design and versatile silhouette, these chairs integrate harmoniously around a modern dining table, whether made of wood or glass. They are perfectly suited for a Mid-Century, Scandinavian, or contemporary interior, where they can serve as main seating or elegant accent chairs.
