Product description
This is a vintage table lamp from the 1970s, a characteristic example of the Space Age design aesthetic. The fixture combines a geometric metal base with a spherical glass shade, resulting in a striking and iconic silhouette. The vibrant orange color and minimalist design make it a characteristic piece from that period.
The construction consists of an orange lacquered metal base and a sphere of white opal glass. This combination of materials was popular in the mid-20th century. The glass sphere provides a soft and diffused light, creating an atmospheric ambiance. The lamp is equipped with its original wiring, including a switch and a plug typical of that era.
The overall condition of the lamp is good and in accordance with its age and use. The original finish and components have been preserved, contributing to its authentic vintage character. The design is a striking example of the playful and futuristic style that defined the 1970s.
This table lamp is a versatile addition to various interior styles, from Mid-Century Modern and retro to a more eclectic decor. The piece functions excellently as accent lighting on a sideboard, desk, or bedside table.
