Special set of six original Penguin Chairs, designed by Peter Opsvik for Variér, formerly Stokke. Opsvik is one of the most influential Norwegian designers in the field of ergonomic seating and is known for his vision that a chair should encourage movement rather than restrict it.
The Penguin Chair has a distinctly sculptural form, inspired by a bird with outstretched wings. The high back, the open cutouts, and the slightly curved side shapes give the chair a playful yet architectural character. At the same time, the design remains sleek, functional, and typically Scandinavian.
The chairs feature a black molded wooden shell, black leather seat pads, and a chrome-plated steel sled frame. The combination of black, chrome, and the recognizable shape makes them highly suitable as dining chairs, conference chairs, or statement seating in a modern interior. Details
