Product description
Thereca — 6 vintage Dining chairs, Netherlands, c. 1960–70 Chrome, warm-grained wood and black upholstery. This set of eight Thereca Dining chairs derives its character from the clear construction and attention to small details. Slender, round chrome tubes form the legs and extend to the backrest. The tubes end at the top with flat metal end caps, fitting snugly to the diameter of the frame. The visible, dark-colored Allen screws mark the connections between the metal, the wooden side rails, and the backrest. Functional components that define the rhythm of the design. The wooden side rails bring warmth to the frame. Their pronounced grain pattern contrasts with the cool chrome and black upholstery. The seat has a softly rounded front edge; the separate backrest gently curves to embrace the body. The open space between the seat and back keeps the silhouette airy. At the bottom, black foot caps close off the legs. The wood, chrome, and upholstery show patina and signs of wear. Especially up close, the material structure, the connections, and the vintage character become visible. Thereca · Netherlands · circa 1960–1970 Chromed metal · wooden side rails · black skai upholstery.
